Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Program Development Analyst for the Office of Primary Care and Community Initiatives (OPCCI) within the New Jersey Medical School. Under the direction of the Assistant Dean for Primary Care and Community Initiatives, the Program Development Analyst assists with the development, implementation and evaluation of community-engaged programs. Provides administrative and program support to the Assistant Dean of OPCCI (or designee). Is responsible for the day-to day operations of the Pozen and other community engaged programs. Administers the winter and summer Science Medicine And Related Topics program (SMART) and Summer Youth Scholars Program (SYSP). Functions as a liaison between the Assistant Dean of (OPCCI) (or designee), and faculty mentors, students, and other departments within the University.
Among the key duties of this position are the following;
  • Works closely with the Assistant Dean (OPCCI), Pozen and other community-engaged associates to ensure that the goals and objectives for the community-engaged programs are being met.
  • Participates in program development activities pertaining to Pozen and other community engaged programs and collaborates with other units dedicated to service in the development of a potential Pozen Institute.
  • Represents the Pozen and other community-engaged programs at meetings, conferences, professional and social functions under the direction of the Assistant Dean (OPCCI).
  • Coordinates Pozen and other community-engaged activities for scholars, students, faculty, and staff.
  • Develops, maintains, and generates reports from database on Pozen and other community engaged scholars.
  • Is responsible for supervising and providing critical instruction on the scholarly activities of the Pozen and other community-engaged Scholars.

Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience
  • Minimum of a Master’s Degree (Social Work, Public Health, Journalism and English preferred) or a Bachelor’s Degree plus three (3) years of related experience in writing, publishing, program implementation and evaluation, and qualitative/quantitative research.
  • A background in community relations, research methods and data analysis, health or higher education are assets.
  • Equivalent education, and/or training may be substituted for the degree requirements.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, writing, interpersonal skills, teaching and research skills.
  • Proficiency in the application of information systems and technology and use of the internet.

Immunization Requirements


Under Policy 60.1.35 Immunization Policy for Rutgers Employees and Prospective Employees , Rutgers University requires all prospective employees to provide proof that they are fully vaccinated and have received a booster (where eligible) against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption.
