Class Description

The purpose of this class is to consistently promote interaction with and recognition of donors at all levels, assist in the preparation and reconciliation of financial transactions for the CCBC Foundation, Inc. Provide guidance and support to the College’s Scholarship Committee, maintain relationships with staff and donors, assist with scholarship processing, stewarding of gifts and facilitate events and fund-raising appeals.

Minimum Requirements

Associate degree and three (3) years’ experience in a business, education, academic or non-profit setting (SPCA, Maryland Food Bank, United Way etc.) Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office applications, financial management systems and or fundraising software required. Project management or financial operations experience required. Knowledge building queries and reports that provide financial information to our donors and statistical information to the Institutional Advancement team for fund raising initiatives required.  Experience with scholarship application software (Blackbaud Award Management or Academic Works) preferred.

Class Specific Essential Duties

  1. Perform accounting functions, including accounts payable, account reconciliation, and journal entries.
  2. Execute all queries and reporting to review and analyze student data and other requested scholarship program statistical information.
  3. Create funds and oversee data entry into financial management system, and extract data for financial reporting and budgeting.
  4. Develops, policies, procedures and management tools to implement the scholarship program from application to award.
  5. Coordinate events and fund raising campaigns.
  6. Facilitate scholarship award process with Financial Aid and Student Finance staff.
