The Intramural Sports Program is a very popular extracurricular activity on campus that is a great way for students to meet new people, reconnect with friends, and continue playing the sports they have grown to love, or they can try a new activity they have never played before. KSC Intramural Sports offers a variety of team and individual sports in which participants compete for the coveted champion t-shirt.
The Club Sports Program provides students with opportunities to participate in an organized team or individual sport program and to enhance their skills in a particular sport. The benefits of club sport participation may include the development of student leadership skills, a team-oriented environment, enhanced physical fitness, development of skills in a particular sport, stress reduction, and friendship.

Develop new intramural sports programs, with responsibilities that include: creating game rules, identifying equipment needs, organizing leagues and training new staff.
Enforces established policies and procedures relating to intramural participation and club sports program.
Manages the web-based scheduling and participant registration program for intramural activities (IMLeagues); managing the scheduling of leagues/games, sending email reminders of sport deadlines, collecting participation data for reports, updating sport rules, captains quizzes and the intramural sports handbook accordingly.
Maintains accurate program information for departmental website and develops and maintains intramural sports OwlNet web page under Student Involvement Office.
Ensures club sports presidents are maintaining their club OwlNet web pages.
Advises all club sports teams on scheduling, risk management, event/game coordination, policy compliance and coordinates support with Student Involvement Office on travel requests, securing advisors and/or coaches/instructors.
Develops and implements risk management strategies for intramural sports and club sports as well as facilities associated with these programs.
Create and maintain social media sites for marketing and promotion of the program, i.e., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. Create flyers and posters to promote intramural sports as well.
Administers the hiring and payroll process for the intramural sports student employees.
Continually develops, assesses and evaluates the intramural and club sports programs and makes recommendations to the department accordingly.
Develop and implement strategic plans for enhancing the intramural sports and club sports programs; updating handbooks, training materials and promotional/marketing materials annually.
Writes semester and annual reports for intramural sports and club sports providing participation data and analysis for decision making processes.
Duty/Responsibility
Trains intramural sports staff on all policies and procedures associated with the intramural sports programs and updates the intramural sports handbook accordingly.
Advises and trains the sport clubs’ presidents on student organization procedures and Student Involvement policies with an emphasis on finance, student travel, event submission and risk management.
Trains the club sports’ presidents to ensure compliance of all college and Club Sports handbook policies in regards to paperwork, scheduling, travel, etc.
Train and support intramural staff on how to address disciplinary issues of the participants.
Provide professional development opportunities to student staff and club sport officers.
Duty/Responsibility
Oversees the hiring of coaches/instructors by the club sports teams ensuring compliance of all College and HR personnel requirements.
Supervises home club sports games and ensures club sports teams have proper support staff available per club sports policies for risk management.
Actively engages student employees and club sport officers to enhance their learning experiences as part of the intramural and club sports programs. Provides appropriate evaluation of performance and feedback to enhance their student development.
Meets one-on-one on a regular basis with the club sports presidents to provide appropriate support and on-going professional development opportunities.
Assist with facility operations including student employee management, special events operations, risk and liability and facility maintenance during the school year as well as campus breaks and summer.
Other responsibilities in the recreation center may include supervision of the student staff and program activities within the facility as assigned.
Duty/Responsibility
Maintain inventory of club sports equipment ensuring all College owned equipment is returned at end of year for storage.
Check facilities and fields for maintenance needs for intramural and club sports program ensuring repairs are made accordingly. Submits maintenance request orders as needed.
