Assist the Coordinator of Community Programs and other colleagues in the coordination of the Kids’ College Program. Assist with supervision of Kids’ College Runners.

High school diploma or equivalent
Must possess a valid Texas driver’s license, good driving record, and be insurable on Midland College’s insurance policy
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Associate’s Degree or higher
Two to three years working with 1st – 6th grade children, parents, and teachers in a school setting
Three years of Community College or volunteer experience
Demonstrated capacity for project or event coordination
Excellent customer service skills

Assist in the supervision of Kids’ College runners and all associated activities
Provide the Coordinator of Community Programs updates of staff activities or concerns
Travel in town as required
Distribute supplies needed for Kids’ College classes
Assist Coordinator in overall preparation, coordination, and supervision of the Kids’ College program
Communicate program participant disciplinary issues with parents
Substitute for instructors, if needed
Other duties as assigned

Must be able to work outside in the heat of the summer
Requires frequent sitting, standing, and walking
Ability to lift or move up to 30 pounds
Use of manual dexterity
Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation
