What You'll Do

Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing & Market Strategy, as Multimedia Designer you will contribute to the center's mission by developing visually engaging traditional and digital marketing materials. You will oversee the Center for Academic Innovation visual brand identity, and contribute to the design language of a growing and dynamic field.

Responsibilities*

Marketing material design

  • Design digital posters, paid and organic social media elements, and other marketing collateral to support CAI's marketing and communications goals
  • Maintain a digital asset library to support CAI team members
  • Consult with CAI colleagues, and develop, graphic design elements for marketing CAI's online courses, products, and services
  • Develop identity treatments for new projects

Website design

  • Maintain overall design approach for CAI and Teaching Online websites
  • Maintain web pages in collaboration with marketing and communications team members
  • Collaborate with CAI UX designers and external web developers to develop CAI and Teaching Online websites

Brand identity stewardship

  • Maintain style guide for the CAI and Teaching Online brands
  • Collaborate with CAI UX designers responsible for Michigan Online brand to maintain identity standards
  • Maintain current knowledge of University of Michigan style guide and identity standards

Other responsibilities as assigned

  • May include work with student fellows, external partners

Required Qualifications*

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of three years of relevant marketing and communications design experience
  • Experience with web design, WordPress sites
  • Expert in Adobe Creative Cloud applications

Additional Information

The general salary range for this position is $55,000-$70,000. You can expect to be paid a great compensation package. Factors used to determine salary include experience for the position and internal equity within the unit. You are encouraged to discuss salary questions to honor understanding and transparency throughout the recruiting process.

Please Note: This is a 5 year term limited position with the possibility of renewal depending on funding.

Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.

This is not a remote position and any adjustments to a standard in-person schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
