Data Coordinator for the Registered Apprenticeships - Done Right Department of Labor Grant (RADaR DOL Federal Grant Funding)

Summary of Position/Responsibilities:

Responsible for coordinating, implementing, and maintaining US Department of Labor (DOL) grant, including financial support, program documentation, and office support. Responsible for leading data collection requirements and analyzing program and participant data.

Coordinates, implements, and maintains DOL grant – 90%

Provides advanced administrative assistance to the Project Director in activities such as generating and analyzing grant documents, quarterly reporting, and preparing modification requests, collects and maintains accurate documentation and records of participant/student data, apprenticeship program pathways and wrap around services provided, generates customized queries and reports for grant activities, prepares, assembles, and/or distributes information, reports, surveys, questionnaires, or apprenticeship program information, coordinates and processes grant expenditures/payments and assists Grants Accountant with review and analysis of grant expenditures, and develops and maintains library of grant resources, templates, and best practices, using online project management system and other resources.

Miscellaneous duties – 10%

Answers phones and emails, providing timely and accurate correspondence and excellent customer service, collaborates with Public Affairs and Project Director on the production and distribution of public communications materials that identify the purpose, goals, and achievements of the grant objectives including newsletters, press releases, websites, social media, and written publications, and performs other duties as required or assigned.

We develop, support, and strengthen business and industry partnerships to address workforce needs and assist with the talent supply and demand in our region. Planning, coordinating, and attending educational and community outreach events provide career awareness to students, employers, and the community through hands-on activities. Executing ideas, bringing people together, and sharing the polytechnic mission through collaboration, outreach, and career exploration.

  • Continuously – 66-100% - Use hands dexterously, talk or hear.
  • Frequently – 34-65% - Stand, walk, or sit.
  • Occasionally – 1-33% - Reach with hands and arms, stoop/kneel/crouch, or crawl, climb or balance, or lift up to 25 pounds.

Minimum Requirements

 
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, communications, or related field.
  • Demonstrated capacity to manage and analyze data sets.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels including diverse populations.
  • Experience working with grants.
  • Advanced knowledge of computer software (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Word, electronic email, and calendar) and internet.
  • Organized, detailed, self-starting, ability to handle multiple activities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to understand and effectively carry out written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.

Preferred Qualifications

 
  • Experience with federal grants and grants management.
  • Experience working in a community college.
