Position Description


Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (CSHL) invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Anticancer Drug Discovery. You will work on collaborative projects between the Moses laboratory and cancer biologists at CSHL, focusing on novel strategies for enzymes involved in cancer pathogenesis. You will be a crucial member of the Click Chemistry team based in the new $75 million Center for Therapeutic Research (CTR).
 
We seek a highly motivated, creative, and interactive scientist. Furthermore, we encourage candidates interested in developing new chemistry and biochemistry methods. The candidate must have a strong track record in synthetic organic chemistry, preferably with knowledge of drug discovery and biological assays. Molecular modeling skills are also desirable. You will have the ability to grow with the team and make essential contributions to the collaborative research environment.

Position Responsibilities


Qualifications:
EDUCATION: Successful applicants will possess a Ph.D. or equivalent in Synthetic Organic Chemistry or Chemical Biology.
 EXPERIENCE: Two years of research experience is preferred, with a proven track record of publications. Prior experience in synthetic organic chemistry is essential, preferably with knowledge of drug discovery and biological assays—familiarity with analytical techniques, including NMR and Mass Spectrometry.
 SKILLS: The successful candidate will possess excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills, maintain data spreadsheets, will be willing to take the initiative, and will be able to work effectively and productively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a strong sense of integrity.
