Position Highlights | The Division of Pediatric Surgery at the University of Arizona is seeking a highly motivated Surgical Research Resident for a 2 year laboratory fellowship. The candidate will provide scholarly collaboration, productive research, and mentoring experiences on exciting research projects. The candidate will be responsible for developing experiments to test specific hypotheses, performing in vitro and in vivo experiments, data collection and synthesis of publications and scientific presentations. This person will also train, supervise, and support professional and student personnel in the lab. The ideal candidate will be a categorical surgery resident in their 2nd or 3rd year who wishes to spend 2 years in research. Alternatively, specific exceptions for post-doctoral PhD fellows will be made. In addition to their own project/experimental procedures, the candidate is required to work with other lab members and assist with their own projects. The primary purpose of this appointment is to engage in advanced research training. Their job will focus on contributing to the research initiatives of the department under the principal investigator/mentor's mentorship and interaction with collaborators.
