Job Description:

The Assistant Director, Workforce Education is a 12-month administrative position with an anticipated start date of no later than July 1, 2023, but a different start date may be negotiated. The successful candidate will assist the Director with the administration of the department with duties to include, but not limited to, supervising department faculty and staff, advising students, observing and evaluating faculty, performing curriculum review and development, teaching courses, providing assistance in the recommendation of full-time and part-time instructors, assisting with the management of the department budget, and participating in the recruitment and retention of students. Additionally, the Assistant Director will assist with oversight of programs in the department and perform other duties as assigned. This position reports to the Director, Workforce Education.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree and three years of experience in a workforce field or in a Student Services area. Successful results of a criminal background check are required.

 

Pursuant to College policy, it is an employment eligibility requirement for an applicant to meet the requirements of § 435.04(2), Florida Statutes, related to background investigations.  Any person failing to meet the requirements of the statute will be deemed not qualified to hold employment in this position.  A Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) approved background check will be conducted on every successful candidate as a condition of employment, and any person who fails to disclose any adverse information contained in the background investigation at the time of submitting the employment application will be disqualified from employment.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  Prefer master’s degree and administrative experience in post-secondary education.

 

SALARY RANGE:   $42,230.00 - $55,000.00 (Depending upon the qualifications and experience, the salary may be negotiable.)
