The Aviation Maintenance Technology Instructor provides support to the dean and students.
Required Qualifications
Federal Aviation Association Airframe and Powerplant mechanic license
Three to five years related work experience
Computer literate with experience on all related aviation maintenance equipment
Three to five years related work experience

Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Aviation
Teaching experience
Teaching experience
Essential Functions
Teach courses offered in the Aviation Technology program
Prepare and communicate clear educational objectives while presenting current and accurate
course content to the students
Work with representatives of local industry to further the program and enhance the instructional resources
Assure compliance with Federal guidelines and regulations
Attend advisory committee meetings
Participate in recruiting and counseling activities
Work may require split day and evening work schedule
Other duties as assigned by Midland College Administration

Requires lifting/moving of equipment in excess of 50 pounds
