We are currently offering a $3,000 SIGN ON BONUS to brand new full time employees working over 37.5 hours per week or a $1,500 SIGN ON BONUS for part time employees working 20 or more hours per week

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health New York provides programs and services for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and dual diagnoses. Located in Germantown, NY, this position works directly with individuals while safely and accurately preparing and administering medications. The Med Transporter will assist in implementing residential programs as developed, including medical transport and scheduling. They are responsible for complying with regulatory and facility policies on medication consents, teaching individuals about medications and medication management, accurately monitoring and documenting medication administration, and monitoring medication effects and adverse reactions according to facility protocol. They will report concerns to the RN on duty, report actual/potential medication errors per facility procedure, and actively engage in medication error reduction practices.

Qualifications:

  • Must have medication administration certification and be able to work a flexible schedule including weekend hours.
  • Minimum of two years of college in a degree-seeking program, preferably in a human services field.
  • Prefer BA degree in a human services field.
  • Can substitute one year of related experience for the education requirement.
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidate’s understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children.
  • The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) COVID-19 vaccine mandate requires staff without an approved medical or religious exemption to be fully vaccinated to be employed in this program. If you are fully vaccinated, you will need to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or have an approved medical or religious exemption prior to starting.
