Piedmont Virginia Community College is seeking an innovative and collaborative individual to join the faculty as a nine-month Instructor/Assistant/Associate Professor of Anatomy & Physiology/Biology.

Appointment Date: August 16, 2023. The primary focus for this position is to teach Anatomy and Physiology courses with a secondary focus in general biology. The successful candidate will teach between 13.5 and 15 credits per semester (fall/spring), which may include day, evening, and weekend sections, off-campus, or distance education sections . The successful candidate may be required to teach at any PVCC location, including the Giuseppe Center in Greene County and correctional facilities in Fluvanna, Buckingham, and Dillwyn. Approximate Salary range for nine-month faculty: $46,000-$70,000 depending on education and experience.

PVCC desires applicants with a commitment to the community college mission; teaching, learning, and student success; integration of learning outcomes assessment into course development and teaching; use of current and emerging technologies to enhance instruction; and other responsibilities that contribute to the progress of the college.
