The Postdoctoral Research Associate will be responsible for work on theory, experiment, and computer simulation in the general field of quantum physics and quantum optics. What You Need to Know

Salary: Salary will be commensurate based on the selected candidate's education and experience.

Required Education and Experience:

  • PhD in Physics or related field

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Earned PhD in theoretical physics 

  • Experience in Quantum informatics, Quantum heat engine, Quantum thermodynamics and Quantum mechanics

  • Experience in writing scientific papers as demonstrated by publications in peer reviewed journals

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of scientific programming language(s), computer simulation, and quantum computing algorithms

Responsibilities

  • Research: Work on theory, experiment, and computer simulation in the general field of quantum physics and quantum optics. Required to interact with and supervise graduate students including training/mentoring PhD students. 

  • Research Manuscript Work, conference participation: Write scientific papers, participate in conferences, prepare PowerPoint presentations/slides, and make calculations and related analysis as instructed. 

  • Mentoring: Assist in hosting Institute for Quantum Science visitors and in making the Institute's sponsored activities successful, as well as performing other duties as assigned.
