POSITIONS: Instructor or Assistant/Associate Professor

POSITION SUMMARY:Â North Greenville University is receiving applications for two full-
time faculty positions in the College of Business and Entrepreneurship beginning
August 2023. Rank and compensation will be commensurate with experience. For
appointment as an Assistant Professor, the successful applicant must hold an earned
doctorate from an accredited institution in one of the functional areas taught in the
Bachelor of Business Administration degree in the College of Business and
Entrepreneurship. For appointment as an Instructor, the successful applicant must hold
a master’s degree from an accredited institution in one of the functional areas taught in
the Bachelor of Business Administration degree in the College of Business and
Entrepreneurship. The primary needs are in the areas of marketing, business analytics,
and supply chain management. Secondary needs include finance, management, and
entrepreneurship. The ability to teach in more than one business field is advantageous.
Previous university teaching experience is preferred. Successful candidates will have
excellent organizational and communication skills and the ability to integrate biblical
faith in the teaching discipline.

North Greenville University is a teaching university affiliated with the South Carolina

RESPONSIBILITIES
Â
- Teach 12 credit hours per semester
- Maintain office hours
- Advise students
- Serve on faculty committees
- Participate in campus events (e.g., chapel, convocations, graduation)
- Develop professionally through reading, practice, scholarship, and formal
instruction
- Model genuine Christian faith in and beyond the classroom
- Intentionally and explicitly integrate the Christian faith with teaching and
scholarship

QUALIFICATIONS
- An earned doctorate or a master’s degree in one of the functional areas taught in
the Bachelor of Business Administration degree in the College of Business and
Entrepreneurship
- Previous university teaching experience is preferred.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- The ability to integrate biblical faith in the teaching discipline.

- Mobility: Able to move between buildings and attend classes, meetings, and
functions across campus.
- Speaking: Frequently convey detailed or important instructions and ideas
accurately, professionally, and with a contextually appropriate tone and
volume.

an honest, collegial, constructive, and prudent manner

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS AND WORK SCHEDULE
Â
These positions are full-time, nine-month positions. The majority of classes will be
taught in person on the Tigerville campus. Some graduate courses may be assigned.
Faculty in the College of Business Administration report to the appropriate Department
Chair, who reports to the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs, who reports to
the Dean of the College of Business and Entrepreneurship.
