Job Overview
 
The Manager of Instructional Technologies serves as audio-visual systems technician, accomplishing a variety of tasks associated with the support of MSB audio-visual systems hardware and software – including but not limited to programming and maintenance of installed classroom Crestron digital systems, screens, projectors, peripherals and connected desktop and laptop computers and printers.
 
Additionally, they generally provide training, documentation, and support to faculty, staff, and students regarding instructional technologies inside and outside the classroom – for example, support for distance learning, lecture capture, and configuration/storage/display of network stored video files.
 
As well, they have a leadership role in identifying, acquiring, and maintaining hardware, peripherals, software, and network products related to teaching and instructional technologies.
 
Work Interactions
 
All MSB teaching faculty utilize the classroom technology to create an interactive learning environment for students; and students spend the majority of their time in the Hariri Building within the classrooms, making it essential that the AV systems function flawlessly.
 
Reporting to the Director of IT Operations, the Manager of Instructional Technologies works with one student AV staff member to maintain classrooms and conference rooms.
 
The Manager of Instructional Technologies is MSB’s primary contact for classroom technology implementing all new classroom technology. They create images and maintain classroom PCs; and lead the administration of the MSB classroom audiovisual systems including audio, video, teleconferencing and presentation hardware and software.
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 4+ years of work experience in technology or education [note: consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of education and related work experience]
 
Preferred qualifications
  • Experience with Panopto, LMS, Google WorkSpaces, and/or Zoom
  • Crestron Programming Certified
  • Certified Technology Specialist (CTS)
  • Crestron Digital Media Certified Engineer (DMC-E-4K)
