The Carnegie Mellon Biomedical Engineering department seeks to transform healthcare worldwide through interdisciplinary engineering innovation and to train future leaders and innovators in biomedical engineering.

We are currently searching for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to join our Biomedical Engineering department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment. You will contribute to the department by developing machine-learning based algorithms to solve EEG/MEG source imaging problems, and conducting validation studies in epilepsy patients, and other such tasks as assigned.

Your core responsibilities will include:

• Collecting and analyzing data, including periodical/literature search and utilizing specialized skills in related field to analyze the collected data.

• Conducting research experiments within the predetermined research scope and methodology of department and university.

• Participating in manuscript writing for publication in scientific journals and/or presentations. May also assist in grant writing.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• PhD in Biomedical Engineering or related field

• Prior experience with EEG or MEG source imaging algorithm development
