InterLibrary Loan Delivery Assistant

Summary of Position

This part-time, 2-year renewable, 20 hours per week position assists with the ILL/Delivery, Facilities and Physical Collections programs by gathering requested materials (daily) delivering (both physical and digital) materials and scanning and transporting materials between campus locations including Dimond Library, the branch libraries, and the Library Storage Building.

With colleagues, this position will also identify and track/resolve facility-related issues (e.g., reporting HVAC or other system problems, and coordinate access for Facilities, vendors and contractors for building and equipment upgrades) in the library’s offsite (on campus) Library Storage Building (LSB).

This role also serves as the primary contact (driver and maintainer) of the library vehicle(s) and is responsible for library vehicle maintenance in partnership with the UNH garage (complying with insurance regulations and service schedule).

Required Qualifications

Current valid driver’s license and the ability to complete defensive driving training.

Ability to lift/push heavy loads (up to 65lbs) regularly or accommodate lifting/pushing multiple lighter loads to allow distribution of weight.

Ability to operate vehicle liftgate controls and heavy garage door.
Experience with (or aptitude for) scanning and/or other digitization technology.

Experience with (or aptitude for) monitoring building security and/or alarm systems.

Ability and willingness to foster a healthy work environment;

Basic computer skills and an ability to learn new computer software programs and platforms;
