Minimum Education/Training/Experience
Bachelors required, Masters preferred. Experience in higher education administration,
college student development, counseling, or related field is preferred. Experience in an academic setting such as advising, recruitment, retention or other relevant experience with demonstrated success in coordinating projects with many cross campus and external constituents. Experience with leading and managing organization-wide projects or programs.

Preferred Education/Training/Experience
Master’s degree preferred. Prefer experience coordinating a NSF grant project.

Minimum Knowledge & Skills
Strong commitment to the mission of the community college
Strong ability to handle and coordinate multiple and complex assignments and projects
Proficiency with use of computers, spreadsheets and reporting services provided
Excellent organizational skills and ability to work on multiple priorities

Skills coordinating student services in a grant

Job Duties
1. Coordinating events to promote the RPACT program to the community at large and to prospective students.
2. Work with Marketing Department to identify appropriate marketing strategies and materials to promote the RPACT program.
3. Work with Enrollment management, the PI and Co-PI, to identify strategies to identify and target appropriate students to enroll in the courses identified for the RPACT program.
4. Coordinate with Academic Advising, the PI and Co-PI, to identify struggling students in the RPACT program.
5. Identify appropriate resources for struggling students and ensure the students know how to access and utilize the resources.
6. Work with Career Services, the PI and Co-PI, to ensure RPACT students have appropriate job seeking skills training as well as job opportunities after graduation.
7. Work with the PI and the Co-PI to find internship possibilities identified by the Advisory Council and other sources as appropriate.
8. Follow up with students employed after graduation to ensure students received appropriate training for their work environment.
9. Maintain documentation of all services provided to students as well as activities and events geared toward the development and/or enhancement of the Student Services portion of the NSF grant.
10. Complete other duties as assigned.

  • Some evening hours may be required.
