A particular focus of the research will be to advance and apply 4D-STEM and high-resolution electron energy loss spectroscopy (EELS) to understand the correlations between lattice, charge, and spin in quantum materials. You will closely collaborate with experienced electron microscopists and scientists on synthesis, theoretical calculations, and other characterization methods, across multiple divisions at ORNL.

Major Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Conduct materials research using aberration-corrected STEM and EELS
  • Integrate STEM and EELS within situ cooling platforms
  • Collaborate with project team members within and outside ORNL
