Serves as a team member who handles the following procedures: provide customer service to students, process outgoing transcripts, graduation assistance, modify enrollments, withdrawals, transfer credit evaluation, enrollment verification, grade changes, census rosters, and final grade rosters. The employee is expected to assist with other duties within the Registrar’s Office during peak periods.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Two years of clerical experience
Experience working with the public
Computer literacy including but not limited to data entry and word processing
Knowledge of general office equipment such as copier and fax machine
Must be able to communicate effectively in person to person situations in addition to engaging in general telephone assistance
Demonstrated interpersonal, social, and public relations skills
Ability to handle fast-paced work environment with interruptions and detail-oriented tasks
Two years of clerical experience

Document imaging experience and knowledge of student information system software
Understanding of the Texas Success Initiative, residency requirements, and computer programs such as Apply Texas and SPEEDE

Essential Functions
Process course withdrawals and notifications to student, faculty, and financial aid
Responsible for the notification and tracking of receipt of the census and final grade rosters
Assist faculty, department chairs, and deans with class records, grade rosters, grade changes, grade issues, and the online portal
Assist with student record validation and edits to ensure accuracy and efficiency in the reporting process
Assist with updates to the year term sub-term table
Process non-payment and non-participation drops and notifications
Process incoming transcripts, military transcripts, and international transcripts for instructional review and determination of transfer credit
Enter evaluated courses into the student information system and notify the student of completion
Assist students, division deans, department chairs, and other institutional staff with the transferability of courses
Perform general office duties including registration, data entry, and updating, mail outs, telephone communications, filing, email communications, and public contacts
Assist with reporting
Assist with graduation process and ceremony activities
Process official transcripts for student requests
Process enrollment verifications
Process grade changes
Other duties as assigned

Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation
Use of manual dexterity
The employee must be able to work extended hours during periods of registration and Midland College or community events
Work mostly performed indoors, some outdoor Midland College or community events may be required
The person in this position needs to move from office to other locations on or off-campus occasionally
Travel for training, meetings, and events both in and out of town may be required
