Position Description:

Seeking six motivated Postdoctoral Research Scholars to work in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Experimental Therapeutics  in the College of Pharmacy. This is a unique opportunity to develop targeted nanoparticles for treatment of cancer.


Duties include: synthesizing, characterizing, and testing nanoparticles and liposomes, single-cell gene analysis, characterizing immune responses, gene editing, murine tumor models, analyzing data, and writing papers.


We are a highly collaborative group, and funding is available for up to 2 years.

Education Requirement:

Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Cancer Biology, Cancer Immunology or related discipline is required.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • A strong chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences and/or nanomedicine background or a strong background in cancer biology or cancer immunology.

  • The ability to analyze data and conduct experiments autonomously.

  • A record of authorship.

  • Experience with nano and microfabrication, analytical methods, cell culture, gene editing, cancer immunology, cancer genomics and handling animals, and a first author publication.

  • 1-3 years relevant research experience
