Montgomery College, Workforce Development and Continuing Education, has an immediate need for a Full-time Program Manager I, Information Technology Institute.  The work schedule is M-F 8:30am-5:30pm. This is an, Exempt,

non-bargaining, Grade 27 position.  Montgomery College promotes and creates a working and learning environment rooted in the basic tenets of fairness, diversity, and inclusiveness. This position is eligible for telework up to 2 days per week after successful completion of initial employment probationary period.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Manage operations of the Information Technology Institute Open Enrollment Program.
• Strategic planning based on community and labor market needs. Coordination and development of open enrollment program activities: development of program schedules for four semesters. Creation of new courses and classes through the WDCE course building platform, teaching assignments, and assignments of course development.
• Develop quality assurance methodology to evaluate/measure quality and financial viability of programs. Respond to problems and inquiries on technical/educational issues
• Solicit and evaluate course proposals, reviews syllabi/materials, and schedule and prices courses. Oversee logistics for effective course delivery.
• Recruit, hire, and supervise ITI Faculty. Evaluate teacher effectiveness and student success and satisfaction; review evaluations, student feedback, and retention.
• Implement program activities such as meetings, professional development events, and information sessions.
• Coordinate with Tech Support Team on the setup of teaching environment in the technology classrooms.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in education, educational technology, computer science, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, certification and/or experience that provides the required knowledge and expertise to perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.
• Three years of related experience including two years of program leadership/management experience.
• Training in communications, marketing, program supervision, leadership, writing, public speaking, project management, and instructional design and/or teaching strategies.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, project management software, familiarity with computer hardware and peripheral devices
• Knowledge of Information Technology workforce development programs, management, best practices and emerging trends.
• Excellent leadership, presentation, organization and customer service skills, as well as the ability to lead, instruct, train, guide and motivate others.
• Eligible applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States and not require employer visa sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience teaching technology
• IT certification

Hiring Range: $61,529 to $79,977 (annual)
