Olympic College is recruiting a full-time tenure track Technical Design faculty to join the team at the college’s Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF) campus, in downtown Bremerton. Courses will include Technical Drawing, Solid Edge, AutoCAD, and Project Management, and possibly additional courses. - Collaborate with PSNS & IMF trade faculty to provide Apprentices and Helpers with relevant, up-to-date training and skills.
- Demonstrate success working with individuals and groups representing a wide range of diverse cultural, geographic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Demonstrate a commitment to teaching students with little or no subject background, as well as the experienced student desiring to further their careers.
- Effectively teach and manage classes with students from a broad spectrum of abilities and experience.
- Support diversity in higher education through the application of multiple teaching pedagogies and the use of diverse resources/voices, as well as by contributing through actions.
- Foster a climate of multicultural understanding and appreciation.
- Create engaging teaching and learning environments that facilitate student success.
- Provide student education and career advising, mentoring, and support.
- Actively contribute to faculty team meetings and activities to collaboratively complete a variety of program work.
- Participate in continually updating the curriculum.
- Identify individual learning needs of students and make appropriate adjustments in learning environments and activities.
- Utilize a variety of assessment activities to evaluate student learning and achievement.
- Maintain regular office hours for students and colleagues.
- Serve on appropriate college and community committees, including working with the program advisory committee.
- Perform other related duties as assigned and/or required.

Prior to a new hire, a background check including criminal record history will be conducted.
