Emergency Medical Services Faculty (two-year grant funded)
Job Description
Bargaining Unit/Salary Level: Salary and benefits commensurate with the Agreement between the Maine Community College System Trustees and the MEA Faculty Unit.
Responsibilities: These faculty positions are responsible for all aspects of the delivery of the AEMT and/or Paramedic courses (as needed). Educational responsibilities include: teaching, clinical oversight, curriculum development and review, academic advising, etc. Schedule may include day, evening, and online classes.
Minimum Qualifications: The candidate must have at least 2 years teaching experience at the college level, and a minimum of 3 years experience with the delivery of pre-hospital emergency care at the paramedic level. The candidate must possess a current Maine EMS license and MEMS Instructor Coordinator license. Recommended qualifications include:
- Baccalaureate or Associate degree
- Licensed at the Paramedic level
- NREMT certification
- American Heart Association instructor for ACLS, PALS, and CPR
- National Association of EMT instructor for PHTLS, AMLS, and EPC
- Understanding of the CoAEMSP accreditation process
