Job Summary

Assist maintenance with general maintenance related duties and set-up arrangements for on campus College functions.

Required Qualifications

Must be a currently enrolled student and registered for classes
Must meet all Work Study eligibility requirements through the Financial Aid Office
Must possess a valid Texas Driver License, good driving record, and be insurable on Midland College’s insurance policy

Essential Functions

Assist with general maintenance duties and completion of work orders
Assist with room/event set-up to include placement and removal of tables, chairs, stage, sound equipment, etc.
This position requires physical labor
Must follow safety guidelines and utilize proper lifting and carrying techniques
Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands

Frequently moves equipment or paperwork weighing up to 50 pounds
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
Use of manual dexterity
Stamina to move, set-up and break down room or event items
Duties indoors and outdoors
The person in this position needs to occasionally move or drive a van and/or golf cart from the office to other locations on or off campus
The person in this position frequently communicates with others; must be able to exchange accurate information
