Specialist II, Scheduling
Job Description
- Class Description
The purpose of this position is to schedule and coordinate activities related to classroom assignment, conferences, meetings and other special events.
- Minimum Requirements
High School diploma/GED and three (3) years of full-time experience, in a customer-service office environment, performing clerical and administrative duties to include: data entry and the management of event scheduling. Knowledgeable of and experience with Microsoft Office, information systems preferably Banner, document imaging and scheduling applications. Or an Associate’s Degree with one (1) year of full-time experience in a customer-service office environment with identical experience. May be required to work evenings and weekends during peak periods.

- Support college scheduling function
- Maintain schedule of room utilization.
- Respond to the general public by telephone, mail and/or in person.
- Maintain data for schedule analysis.
- Prepare reports and other documents, as assigned.
- Support for event scheduling
- Perform administrative duties.

- Position Specific Essential Duties
- Build the class schedule from initial draft to production for all campuses with main components for Dundalk, Online, and extension centers including preparing 25Live data and CE space needs.
- Assist with room needs and resolve space issues
- Coordinate with other schedulers to support the building of the schedule
- Generate reports as requested for academic units and Sr. Director
- Update CRN’s with online coding for Brightspace programming
- Review schedule for accuracy in dates, times, minutes, section codes, lab and first day book fees, room features, modalities, class size, census dates to adhere to CCBC scheduling standards.
- Support CE schedule through R25 Live upload and to locate and secure space for classes.
- Responsible for communicating class cancellations and relocations of classes to faculty, staff, and students and post signs if needed.
- Monitor the Banner/25Live transactional data interface to ensure consistency with room placement.
- Assist the Sr. Director/Registrar and the Lead Scheduler in the collection and analysis of data required to continually revise the allocation of campus space and services.
- Assist with report needs for the campus directors, academic units and others at the institution.
- Back-up for CCBC scheduling of rooms for events. (Case site)
