If Temporary or Visiting, Estimated End Date: Position Summary and Duties

The Sellinger School of Business seeks candidates who can provide administrative support for our undergraduate and graduate business programs. The duties include a diverse range of administrative and student support including, but not limited to, the following:
  • Supporting the Academic and Administrative Directors of the Sellinger Scholars program – including but not limited to
      • Maintaining Scholars website information
      • Assisting with course registration
      • Tracking grades for program eligibility
      • Coordinating and supporting events for student cohort

     

  • With the Faculty moderator and Chapter Secretary, coordinate the Beta Gamma Sigma business student honor society – including but not limited to:
    • Pulling reports to determine student eligibility
    • Serving as liaison with BGS corporate office to manage induction process
    • Coordinating spring induction event
  • Provide support to the Program Director for the Emerging Leaders MBA Program
  • With Program Directors and our Assistant Dean, provide support for experiential learning and capstone activities for graduate programs (i.e.: coordinate logistics for site visits, assist with special events)
  • Serve as receptionist for students, applicants, guest speakers, visitors, etc.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree or Vocational/Technical School Training
  • 3-5 years of experience
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Well-developed verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience organizing, planning, and coordinating events.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and Microsoft Teams
  • Ability to work with multiple supervisors.
  • Strong multi-tasking and follow-up skills with the ability to manage and meet multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to produce accurate work and prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to maintain professional discretion
  • Self-starter, motivated to learn new skills
  • Initiative, especially with respect to maintaining/developing efficient systems for data management
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • Team oriented, cooperative, collaborative approach
  • Ability to support the University’s goals for institutional diversity, as well as the goals and values of a Catholic, Jesuit education.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Previous experience in an academic setting.
  • Experience with web editing applications
