Full Job Description

This role will work to build and manage the Agency’s brand and all aspects of marketing communications in order to promote awareness and support of the Agency in collaboration with senior leadership. This dynamic new position will be responsible for developing comprehensive marketing and engagement strategies, as well as fundraising strategies including but not limited to annual, planned and recurring gift programs, donor management, grant writing and event planning. The right candidate for this exciting new role within the Agency will be growth-oriented, creative, and adaptable as job functions and responsibilities evolve in conjunction with the Agency’s communications and fundraising capacities.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS*

Ø Develop comprehensive communications, fundraising and marketing plans and objectives in conjunction with the Senior Management Team with targeted goals, quantifiable outcomes, and timelines.

Ø Build and enhance the agency’s social media presence and engagement, including but not limited to content development and digital messaging, including procurement of images/videos/interviews.

Ø Develop and produce content for a periodic digital newsletter, to include research, internal communication and coordination, interviewing, copy writing and more.

Ø Direct the creation, production, and distribution of all agency marketing materials such as press releases, flyers, printed and digital newsletters, program materials, printed and digital advertising, Annual Report. Update style guide as needed and recommend changes to graphic standards as needed.

Ø Work collaboratively with program management to develop, revise, update, and monitor all content on Agency website as well as related printed material.

Ø Oversee SEO to continue optimizing website/improve search engine ratings.

Ø Produce reports and provide regular updates for the agency’s senior leadership team to include marketing analytics and project updates.

Ø Create and implement a development strategy, systems, and procedures to include but not limited to projects such as Annual Appeal, event creation/management, major and recurring gift campaigns, and donor management. Increase external funding revenues through the sourcing and writing of grants that support the mission/vision of the Agency and its operations. In collaboration with program staff, track, produce and submit grant evaluations and reports as required.

Ø Manage all aspects of the agency’s Donor & Marketing Database, performing a range of functions to maintain data accuracy and integrity including monitoring and updating data records as needed, exporting reports, and integrating data with other digital platforms (i.e. Constant Contact).

Ø Oversees communication and logistics planning for external outreach activities, including tabling events, job fairs, sponsorship functions, and community presentations.

Ø Responsible for training and supporting agency staff in marketing and messaging best practices, and cultivating consumer-driven content and stories for the agency's marketing materials.

Ø Demonstrate professional skills including conveying and responding to written and oral information effectively, collaborating with all staff members.

Ø Fundraising/Development- Strong interpersonal skills, presentation and organizational skills including planning and time management. Understands the integration of development with marketing. Brings a passion for non-profit sustainability and stewardship.

PREPARATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Ø Minimum 3-5 years proven and measurable experience in developing and implementing a wide variety of fundraising and/or marketing programs for non-profit organization.

Ø Strong experience in building a development program required

Ø Grant writing and event management experience necessary.

Ø Satisfactory CORI check.

Ø Valid driver’s license required.

Ø Vehicle available during all working hours. Vehicle should be Registered and inspected in accordance w 540 CMR 4.00.

Ø Solid experience and competency with internet, email systems, various social media platforms, Google and Microsoft Office Suites, MS Access database, other fundraising platforms, website editing tools (WordPress), and email marketing platforms (Constant Contact).

Ø Educational background needed:

o An associate’s degree and at least five-years professional experience in the field; or

o A Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or a related field and at least three-years professional experience in the field

Ø Ability to work in an office setting during normal business hours

Ø Excellent written and verbal skills

Ø Bi-lingual (Spanish) a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
