The Opportunity:

The College of Sciences (COS) Human Resources Business Center (HRBC) is looking for a high-level HR Partner who will work closely with our units to provide support and communication for complex issues and training. This position will provide professional HR advisory services and report to the HR lead of the COS HRBC.

Responsibilities: 

  • Assist unit leaders with workforce strategies and provide consultation services.

  • Communicate and train HR coordinators and/or units on new HR programs, policies, and processes.

  • Point of contact and expert for questions about the faculty search and hiring process. May serve as search manager as necessary and oversee any hire documentation collection. Will also serve as a point of contact for postdoctoral and adjunct hiring processes.

  • Ensure the accuracy of data in Workday for the employee classifications this position supports.

  • Provide any ad-hoc reports as necessary/requested. Provide scheduled reports when needed.

  • Create SOPs for areas of support, review pending/in-progress items on a scheduled basis, and offer and implement process improvements where needs/gaps are identified.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience or combination of relevant comparable education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in human resources dealing with a variety of tasks.
