- In conjunction with the leader of Health & Wellness (H&W), directs H&W in financial management and planning.
- Design and review statistical and cost data reporting to accurately assess H&W operations.
- Assess and project resource needs. Research data, develop trend analysis, prepare financial modeling and business projections.
- In absence of the leader of H&W, assume responsibility for financial decision-making, financial management, and financial planning.
- Assist in planning, funding, and monitoring remodeling/renovating facilities and equipment.
Duty/Responsibility
- Develop and present analysis of the financial status of H&W and ensure the appropriateness of revenue recorded and expenses incurred. Investigate budget to actual variances.
- Prepare and present annual budget and recommendation for student health fee to the leader of H&W, it’s Leadership Team, Staff, and Student Senate Representatives. Oversee operating funds, plant funds, gift funds, grant funds, and Student Health Benefits Plan funds.
- Develop and document accounting policies and procedures in compliance with university guidelines, internal audit controls, and accreditation requirements. Communicate and enforce policies, review annually.
- Participate in internal and external audits as required.
- Manage all purchasing processes, oversee PCard utilization by staff, cash and check deposits, and associated reconciliation of funds and accounts.
Duty/Responsibility
- Serve as Plan Administrator for the Student Health Benefits Plan. Coordinate communication, education, and awareness measures concerning the University’s insurance requirements.
- File regulatory documents, review, and ensure compliance with extensive regulatory requirements of both state and federal agencies as required by the operation of a self-funded student health plan.
- Work with Business Services, UNH IT, and third-party vendors to develop or improve automated processes for enrollment/waiver processing, charging students, and notifications to students.
Duty/Responsibility
- Direct oversight of H&W’s Business Office, IT, and Health Records areas. Monitor and evaluate efficiency, the integrity of data, and quality of services in these areas, initiate change when necessary.
- Keep current with changing technology, industry standards, best practices, state and federal regulations, and accreditation requirements relative to each of these areas.
- Supervise, train, assign and review work, oversee training and other professional development of staff. Conduct annual evaluations, assign goals, provide coaching, guidance, and support of staff.

- Serve as Privacy Officer for H&W. Oversee the development, implementation, maintenance of, and adherence to the organization’s policies and procedures covering the privacy of, and access to patient health information in compliance with federal and state laws and information privacy practices.
- Perform privacy risk assessments and audits to monitor compliance.
- Oversee or conduct privacy training and orientation of all employees, contractors, and business associates. Develop, implement, and monitor compliance with all business associate agreements to ensure all privacy concerns, requirements, and responsibilities are addressed.
- Work with university administration, legal counsel, and other related parties as needed to adopt or amend privacy legislation, regulations or standards.
