This position is responsible for all mail functions required by Midland College.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Computer literacy
Ability to pick up, sort, and deliver mail to all Midland College campuses located in Midland, TX
Must possess a valid Texas Driver License, good driving record, and be insurable on Midland College’s insurance policy
Must be able to work in both indoor and outdoor environments

Clerical experience to include some experience with mailroom operations

Essential Functions
Under the supervision of mailroom clerk and when needed:
Pick up mail from the post office on a daily basis, as needed, including periods of campus closure (extended holidays and spring break)
Pick up and deliver interdepartmental and first-class mail to all Midland College locations
Responsible for applying correct postage to all outgoing mail and adherence to time schedules for pickup of mail by mail service
Process and transport bulk mail to post office
Responsible for hand delivery of packets to both Midland College and Midland College Foundation board members
Report monthly to the accounting department, balances for prepaid postage, business reply, and bulk mail accounts. See that balances are replenished timely, when necessary
Provide guidance for all college inquiries with respect to postage questions
Assist accounting office with clerical duties
Other duties as assigned

The person in this position needs to frequently move or drive to other locations on and off-campus
