Essential Job Duties
Job Description: Assist the General Manager with implementing the vision and plan of the daily operation of the recruiting department.
Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to:
- Coordinate the recruitment of all football prospects through all forms of communication
- Find and evaluate talent to recruit
- Create and develop the plan for all official and unofficial visits
- Create and develop the plan of all junior days and special recruiting events
- Act as the Lead liaison between all position coaches and recruits
- Manage the Assistant Director of Player Personnel for Offense
- Manage the Assistant Director of Player Personnel for Defense
- Manage the Director of scouting
- Develop key relationships with top recruits
- Develop creative strategies to successfully recruit top targets
- Set recruit list for junior days, game days and other recruiting events
- Set top recruit list
- Maintain staff recruiting board (update recruit tags)
- Assist in maintaining accurate recruiting profiles on top prospects
- Assist in the planning of the general correspondence calendar
- Collaborate with creative team and Director of Recruiting on relevant and trendy recruiting ideas
- Coordinate all film and prospect evaluations
- Any other duties assigned by the General Manager
- Direct reports include: Director of Scouting, Assistant Director of Player Personnel – Offense and Assistant Director of Player Personnel – Defense
Other Responsibilities
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree required with experience in relevant independent instructional or educational activities; Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a Collegiate or Professional football program.
Other Required Qualifications
- Must understand and implement all NCAA rules around the recruitment of prospects to NC State. Must have a high level of understanding and execution of these rules.
- Computer literacy and expertise
- Technical football knowledge
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Five or more years of football-related experience preferred
- Prior experience working with Division 1 Collegiate or Professional Football program
Required License(s) or Certification(s)
A valid NC driver’s license or the ability to obtain one within 60 days of start date is required. Must be maintained as a condition of employment.
