This Department is currently looking for a research assistant, that will be allowed to work from home. and if needed Hoteling space is also available should this person choose to work in the office on-site in Chapel Hill.
The Research Assistant position will be responsible for providing project support for ongoing studies involving roadway design and safety. Must be responsible, and able to follow established protocols to extract and code data for use within studies, while using a variety of video, spatial and web-based data collection tools. The candidate will offer strong organizational skills and the ability to observe, monitor, collect, record, and handle data and prepare data for analysis. The Research assistant will also contribute to project documentation and assist in preparing reports and publications. This position will work closely with team members to accomplish work and meet project deadlines.

Minimum Experience/Education
Highschool Degree or equivalent, Statistical analysis and GIS skills Preferred
