Reporting to the Coordinator of Audio-Visual Production, the Video Support Specialist is responsible for the daily operation, coordination, execution, and support of video and audio enabled events, meetings, and conferences throughout the TCC District.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Performance Requirements*
- Assists and advises faculty, staff, and administration with video productions and live streaming
- Responsible for all phases of video production for the College, including but not limited to directing, editing, lighting, and audio in the field or in the studio
- Responsible for all phases of live streaming production, including but not limited to setting up equipment and live stream using video-on-demand systems, YouTube Live, Zoom or Microsoft Teams
- Coordinates production team members and coordination with local Campus Support Departments
- Recommends audio and video equipment, computer software and hardware, and materials for use in television production facilities
Service Excellence
- Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
- Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through the Tarrant County College (TCC) Institute
- Supports the values of the College: diversity, teaching excellence, student success, innovation, and creativity and service to the College
- Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College
Supervision
Works under the general supervision of Coordinator of Audio-Visual Production

Required Minimum Qualifications
- Associate’s degree and two (2) years of working experience in video production or a related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, certification, and related experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Video Production or related field
- Certified in Apple Pro-Final Cut Pro X
- Certified Adobe Professional – Premiere Pro (Pr)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Working knowledge of video and audio production hardware
- Knowledge of video streaming platforms, and device software with the understanding of the interconnectivity of video equipment and streaming of large video events.
- Knowledge of basic to advanced editing concepts as well as the codecs necessary for media file creation.
- Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with diverse populations
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment and a setting that is diverse and urban
- Ability to think critically to effectively solve and communicate problems in a fast-paced environment where the demands for work are varied, and unpredictable in scope and volume
- Ability to analyze data and provide sound recommendations based on policy, procedure, practice, and existing regulations
- Ability to use computer applications and enterprise systems, including proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
