Posting Summary
The Community Leadership Center seeks Assistant Director. This position focuses on three main areas: (1) support for the research and dissemination function of the CLC; (2) develops protocols for data collection and evaluation for all programs under the CLC; (3) participate in the development of grant proposals; and (4) support in a leading role, the development and execution of special academic projects, collaborations with campus faculty around research, conferences, university partnerships and joint ventures. Successful candidates will thrive on open collaboration and intellectual curiosity, will operate both independently and with a team, and will have a flexible approach to challenges in a fast-paced, creative and scholarly environment. Excellent qualitative and quantitative skills and proficiency with data programs, and research design for applied areas such as Birth-12 educational pipeline development, urban community development, youth and child development, among others.

Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience
Minimum of Master’s degree required; advanced degree preferred in a social science or education field (ABD status also considered).
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Hands-on experience with research or evaluation design, data collection, and qualitative data analysis and/or quantitative data analysis.
  • Deep knowledge and experience in statistical analysis and techniques for impact evaluations; strong quantitative and qualitative data gathering and analysis skills, including survey design, experience with a variety of evaluation theories, tools and techniques.
  • Experience and knowledge with continuous improvement to evaluation, motivated by the role evaluation can play to assess programmatic impact, guide innovation, and improve organizational effectiveness and sustainability
  • Experience using data management systems, including data entry, extraction, and analysis. Demonstrated ability to perform complex data analysis utilizing Microsoft Excel, SPSS, Nvivo, Tableau, and other tools.
  • Experience creating systems and work processes to support collection, analysis, and reporting of qualitative and quantitative data for program and organizational learning
  • Experience with grant writing

Immunization Requirements


Under Policy 60.1.35 Immunization Policy for Rutgers Employees and Prospective Employees , Rutgers University requires all prospective employees to provide proof that they are fully vaccinated and have received a booster (where eligible) against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption.
