Position Highlights | The University of Arizona Cancer Center (UACC) is a National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated comprehensive cancer center dedicated to the prevention and cure of cancer through patient care, research, and education. The UACC is the only NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center headquartered in the state of Arizona. The UACC is seeking a Program Manager for the T32 Postdoc Fellowship program. The purpose of this position is to manage the T32 Cancer Prevention and Control Health Disparities Postdoctoral Training Program at the University of Arizona Cancer Center. The program provides preparation for an individual who wishes to pursue an independent academic research career in cancer health disparities that contributes to decreases in cancer morbidity and mortality in underserved populations. Activities will include management of day to day operations for the T32 grant which includes completion of appropriate progress reports, management of budgets, management of post-doctoral research proposals and related applications, hiring of post-doctoral fellows and oversight of Individual Development Plans, support of Fellow-mentor(s) communications and Fellow productivity. This position will report directly to the program directors to ensure the successful completion of required program activities. Preferred Qualifications | * Completion of a Master’s in public health, MBA, or similar field with at least 3 years managing a research project. * Experience managing and tracking budgets and writing external reports. * Experience working with doctoral and postdoctoral level students. * Experience working with NIH reporting systems and UA post-award. * Experience with peer-reviewed writing and/or grant development. |
