The Position

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated researcher for a joint Postdoctoral Fellowship in the Müller (Oncology Bioinformatics/Cancer Immunology) and Turley (Immunology) labs.
The goal of this research position is to investigate epithelial cell-stromal cell crosstalk in the tumor microenvironment (TME) through generation and analysis of high-throughput single- cell assays and in vitro modelling. The new hire will join two research teams with computational and experimental expertise to discover and explore the biology of therapies that modulate the TME to treat cancer.
The fellow will have an opportunity to collaborate with scientists specializing in cancer immunology, immunology, regenerative medicine, molecular/discovery oncology, computational biology, and biochemistry. At Genentech, we provide access to our cutting- edge research campus, equipped with the most advanced biomedical, experimental, and computational technologies. Opportunities for the clinical translation of new discoveries are also in place.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have a Ph.D in Computational Biology/Bioinformatics, or in Immunology, Oncology or related field with a demonstrated record of high-throughput data analysis in R or Python.

  • You should have strong communication skills and enjoy working collaboratively with other computational and lab-based scientists.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $64,800 and $120,300.  Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
