UTS has been part of NC State’s campus community since October 1980; and in July 2010, NC State partnered with UNC-Chapel Hill to create another UTS location to serve the Carolina campus community.
Our mission is to provide quality temporary staffing services to support the teaching, research, and service mission of the university.
Essential Job Duties
In addition to the the responsibilities of the Staffing Specialist role, the Lead Staffing Specialist works with the Recruiting Manager to ensure that goals are met as related to volume of activities, new business, marketing, and service enhancements and provides advanced guidance to the Staffing Specialists team serving as resource and mentor to other Staffing Specialists.
A primary function is independently ensuring that UTS identifies, screens, and places the most qualified applicants to each job request to ensure customer satisfaction and continued business solvency.
The Lead Staffing Specialist interacts regularly with campus officials and administrators. Excellent judgment must be exercised to analyze situations, troubleshoot problems, and take appropriate actions.
The Lead Staffing Specialist will also serve and direct campus on any temporary hiring, regardless of using UTS services.

Minimum Experience/Education
All degrees must be from appropriately accredited institutions.

Preferred Qualifications
- Temporary staffing experience.
- Professional leadership/mentorship experience.
Required License or Certification
Valid NC Driver's License required
