Job Description:
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
- Developing bioinformatics algorisms and analysis pipelines for genomic and metagenomic Next Generation Sequencing large data set from veterinary diagnostic samples.
- Conduct literature review, identify research questions, hypotheses, design and conduct scientific studies to test said hypotheses.
- Write grant proposals for competitive fund acquiring.
- Write and submit manuscripts for peer reviewed publications.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
PhD in microbiology
Preferred Qualifications:
Documented expertise via published peer review manuscripts in bioinformatics.
In addition to bioinformatics expertise, general laboratory skills and specific skills in microbiology, and molecular microbiology.
