Summary of Position

The School of Business, an ACBSP accredited program of Plymouth State University invites applications for a non-tenure track, full time, benefited position in General Business beginning in August 2023. We seek a talented individual who is a self directed learner, who is excited by the various changes happening in the discipline and is willing to ride the waves. Must be excited by and willing to engage in curriculum design and course design. Applicants should have a record of teaching excellence in a variety of general management courses, experience teaching diverse learners, experience integrating technology with instruction, and a willingness to teach traditional, blended and online graduate and undergraduate classes. Professional experience in the field is a plus. Teaching Faculty positions are full time, with benefits, and funded on a year to year basis. The teaching load is 30 to 32 credit hours per year. The candidate will also be expected to advise undergraduate students and provide service to the university.

Acceptable Minimum Qualifications

  • MBA degree or master’s degree in an associated or related field
  • Practitioner or executive experience in management
  • Two years (or equivalent) of undergraduate or graduate teaching experience in business topics
  • Ability and interest in teaching general business courses such as foundations of business/management, operations management, organizational behavior, strategic management and/or courses in specialty management areas such as leadership, entrepreneurship/small business management, organizational development, data management
  • Interest in course and curriculum design in the discipline
  • Familiarity with the use of learning management systems such as Moodle
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues and business or institutional partners outside PSU
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
