Position Summary

The Facilities Manager directs the overnight shift at Lincoln Center and supervises a Custodial Supervisor and 23 union staff, made up of custodians and engineers. The position is required to have a Refrigeration Engineering license and a fire safety director certification. This position oversees night operations both from engineering and cleaning as well as emergency response working with Public Safety.

Essential Functions

  • Manages and directs both Custodial and Facilities employees.
  • Conducts and enforces building inspections ensuring departmental procedures.
  • Oversees night operations both from engineering and cleaning as well as emergency response working with Public Safety
  • Administers policy and procedures promoting productivity while handling staffing issues effectively.
  • Monitors Work Order system and assigns staff accordingly.
  • Organizes Custodial working schedules and attendance including overtime and time-off efficiently.
  • Coordinates projects and working assignments.
  • Responsible for inventory control of custodial equipment and supplies.
  • Coordinates and oversees custodial functions ensuring cleanliness and staffing for University events.
  • Responsible for exterior grounds and snow removal.
  • Must be capable of using, demonstrating and training staff on all types of custodial equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including providing administrative support to the office of Facilities and Campus Operations.

Required Qualifications

  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in campus/custodial operations. One year of which shall be in a supervisory position.
  • Competence with MS Word, Power Point, Excel and CMMS
  • Refrigeration Engineering license
  • Fire Safety Director certification
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
  • Ability to obtain position-related certifications.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours and be available in emergencies.
  • Successful candidates should have a knowledge of and commitment to the goals of Jesuit Education.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field

Minimum Starting Salary: $61,000

Maximum Starting Salary: $81,000

Note: Salary is commensurate with qualifications, experience, and skills.
