Position Overview

The Development Operations Coordinator is responsible for 1) oversight and management of Constituent Relationship Management (CRM), 2) data analysis that supports increased fundraising, 3) administrative tasks for the Department of Agency Advancement, and 4) support of event coordination. The Development Operations Coordinator is a valuable member of the team and liaison to other support departments of Italian Home for Children (IHC). The information entered, tracked, analyzed, and supplied to various members of the Advancement Team informs strategy and best practice. The support provided by the Development Operations Coordinator often drives completion of projects and greatly contributes to the overall success of reaching aggressive fundraising goals. This role is the CRM expert on the team, teaching others how to utilize the software to achieve goals. The Development Operations Coordinator is an additional “face of the agency” as are most people in the Advancement Department but is specifically the “face” of the annual holiday toy drive. Therefore, the Development Operations Coordinator must maintain professionalism and convey “going the extra mile” with key stakeholders.

The Development Operations Coordinator reports to the VP of Agency Advancement and works in close collaboration as a support to all members of the Agency Advancement Department. The Development Operations Coordinator also works closely with the Finance and Facilities Departments of IHC.

Responsibilities

  • Manage data entry, maintain donor information, and coordinate timely acknowledgments
  • Serve as a partner to the Finance Team providing information and reconciling data
  • Create various forms, reports, and correspondence
  • Ensure all members of Agency Advancement and CEO are supplying all relevant data to CRM
  • Participate in trainings, utilize help guides, webinars, and videos from CRM to gain deeper knowledge, and serve as agency CRM expert
  • Produce analyses, reports, and data sets with high frequency
  • Conduct prospect and other research
  • Participate in thank you calls and letter campaigns
  • Attend and assist with planning fundraising events on occasional nights and weekends
  • Plan logistics for on site events such as working with Facilities Department on room setup and technology
  • Coordinate agency in-kind gift solicitations, including tracking and acknowledgements
  • Lead annual holiday efforts, mainly the toy drive
  • Respond to donor inquiries while conveying a professional manner along with a willingness to help; provide reliable, accurate, and timely responses to questions from internal and external stakeholders
  • Discover and maintain operational efficiencies for Agency Advancement Department
  • Maintain all office supplies and complete orders as needed
  • Manage process, relationship, and completion of wealth screening
  • Assume other responsibilities as assigned by the VP of Agency Advancement Department
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 1-3 years of work or volunteer experience, preferably in nonprofit organization
  • Proficiency with the Raiser's Edge™ NXT strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office required
  • Ability to advance knowledge on CRM and build to a point of effectively training other staff on using a CRM, including in a group setting
  • Ability to analyze and organize data efficiently with attention to detail and accuracy is required
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Excellent oral communication, interpersonal, and writing skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Commitment to confidentiality in all matters related to Italian Home for Children business, development, and fundraising practices
  • Ability to function in a team environment
  • Demonstrate sensitivity and appreciation for diverse viewpoints and different communication styles in a politically and culturally diverse environment
  • Flexible thinking and willingness to support other people and projects
  • Willing to work occasional evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to lift and carry 25 lbs. (event supplies).

Compensation - $50,000-$55,000 Annually
