Director of The Indian University of North America®.

Crazy Horse Memorial Foundation is a 501c3 Public Charity of International scope that is a cultural, educational and humanitarian project dedicated to the Native American Indians of North America. Crazy Horse Memorial Foundation is located in the Black Hills of South Dakota.

The Indian University of North America® of Crazy Horse Memorial® offers distinctive academic programs in partnership with select institutions of higher learning. The programs are credit-bearing and are strategically designed and taught from an indigenous lens. The Indian University of North America® is recognized by the Higher Learning Commission as an approved and accredited instructional location and degree site through its partnerships. The programs and the accompanying signature Student Success Coaching guide Native students in gaining access to college, and in persisting and completing college.

Crazy Horse Memorial® is currently accepting applications and nominations for the Director of The Indian University of North America®. Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree, PhD or EdD preferred, in a relevant field from an accredited college or university. Preference will be given to candidates that are an enrolled member of a federally recognized Native Nation, and possess knowledge of and experience in the recruitment, retention, and education of Native American high school and college students. The successful candidate must possess excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills and represent the Memorial professionally in various venues. The Director is the onsite administrator responsible for the successful delivery of the academic programs of The Indian University of North America. This position also oversees day-to-day operation of residential programming of The Indian University of North America, including offering and overseeing strong student success coaching. Must have prior administrative experience, with prior college teaching experience preferred.

This is a full-time salaried exempt position based at Crazy Horse Memorial and will require travel at times.
