Position Highlights The Pharmacology and Toxicology Department in the R. Ken Coit College of Pharmacy seeks a qualified Grant and Contract Coordinator II. The selected candidate supports a busy research program with coordinating events and meetings, gathering data, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and monitoring budgets.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Gather data including financial, student information, publications, and grant funding.  Create or update tables to display data for grant progress reports and grant applications.  Requires Excel skills including graphs, charts, and pivot tables.  Data is gathered from a variety of sources, may include researching websites, communication with faculty or other departments, and running/analyzing financial reports.
  • Purchase supplies and services using requisitions, disbursement requests, and credit card (Pcard) according to university regulations, ensuring proper back-up documentation is provided for each transaction.
  • Reconciles grant activity for multiple complex grants including reviewing grant documents, ensuring spending follows grant guidelines, ensuring grant projects remain within budget, managing spending plans, and communicating results to the Director.
  • Assist with setting up meetings and making travel arrangements for multiple faculty/employees.  Process travel payments according to university policy.  Schedule rooms and/or set up zoom meetings.  Prepare and distribute agendas.  Take minutes.
  • Assist with entering external awards to undergraduate students and Postdoctoral Research Associates funded by the department's training grant.  Includes calculating the tuition and stipend payments, uploading and reconciling the training grant spreadsheet and ensuring entries follow grant guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience required.
