Primary Purpose

The Director is responsible for the management of all aspects of the dual enrollment program, including early admission and the early college program. This position is housed at the Palatka Campus but has responsibilities that will require regular travel throughout Clay, Putnam, and St. Johns Counties.

Description of Duties and Tasks

1. Coordinate all aspects of the dual enrollment program, including working closely with area high school students, school district personnel, and appropriate College personnel.

2. Facilitate and maintain the College’s annual K-16 articulation plans with local school districts, private schools and home schools.

3. Promote a close relationship between college faculty and high school teachers including curricula articulation for a more “seamless” transition from high school to college.

4. Work with the school districts to offer new dual enrollment courses, based on the needs of the school and the students.

5. Facilitate the procurement of adjunct instructors for dual enrollment programs and facilitate the human resources process with the college’s HR department.

6. Monitor high school students who will be graduating at the end of their senior year with the Associate in Arts degree to facilitate graduation and next step planning.

7. Track and monitor the dual enrollment presence on the college website, including presentations and all early college program plans and parent information.

8. Update the dual enrollment application system and maintain the reporting system.

9. Conduct visits to area schools to promote dual enrollment and the early college programs. Develop recruiting and information brochures to promote both programs.

10. Oversee the early college program within the three counties to include working with the school districts to plan the timeline for the information sessions, the application process, selection of the students, and class coordination.

11. Maintain Institutional Effectiveness data and tracking for dual enrollment and early college programs.

12. Recommend dual enrollment and college access catalog changes, deletions, and additions.

13. Assist the Arts and Sciences and Workforce Development offices with dual enrollment faculty, mentoring of the high school site faculty, and relaying of textbook information to school district instructional resources department.

14. Collaborate with other college departments in the organization of the annual guidance counselor/advisor meetings between the school districts and the advisors from the college.

15. Interview, hire, supervise, and evaluate one Academic Affairs Office Specialist and three Dual Enrollment Specialists.

16. Assist the College Administration in the planning and implementation of special events, to include but not limited to orientations, completion ceremonies, campus tours, and press releases.

17. Serve on college committees as required.

18. Perform other duties as assigned by the College Administration.

Qualifications Standards

Master’s Degree in Education or a related discipline required. Strong commitment to the philosophy, role, and mission of a comprehensive community college. Experience in higher education preferred. This is a full-time 12-month on-site administrative position. Applicant must pass verification of employment/reference screening and a background check. This position is not eligible for Veterans preference.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $62,425.00 - $82,713.00 per year
