Position Summary

The position requires the person assigned to patrol campus and perform duties assigned in a vehicle to ensure the safety and security of the University community and surrounding areas. This patrol leader is a critical hire uniformed weekend nights position.

Essential Functions

• Supervises, trains, supports and monitors the performance of assigned guard posts.
• Directs access-control activities performed at or on their assigned posts.
• Oversees guard staff assigned to special events on campus
• Tests and inspects all fire alarm systems
• Patrols assigned areas both on and off campus to prevent crime, assist students, faculty and staff.
• Directs traffic flow and other duties at University events as assigned by the tour Duty Supervisor.
• First responder to emergencies.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver’s License
• NYS Guard License
• Minimum of twenty years in law enforcement with a police agency or University Police and/or security department
• Successful candidates should have a knowledge of and commitment to the goals of Jesuit Education.

Minimum Starting Salary: $58,500

Maximum Starting Salary: $64,000

Note: Salary is commensurate with qualifications, experience, and skills.
