You excel at working independently in a fast-paced environment as well as with high profile pharmaceutical executives, physicians, donors, patients, and NephCure staff, board members, and volunteers. You are an organized self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management skills, and great attention to detail.

Position Summary

The Fundraising & Development Coordinator will work with NephCure’s Development Department to help spearhead the growth of our annual fundraising campaigns and provide logistical and operations support to the Development Department. The ideal candidate will exhibit a commitment to the mission, vision, and values of NephCure. The candidate will have the ability to multitask, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and knowledge and experience with CRM software and platforms.

Primary Responsibilities

The Fundraising & Development Coordinator will support the Development Department with project management, manage the donor database, provide support for all fundraising and events initiatives, and ensure that deadlines and tasks are completed on time.

  • Facilitate, oversee, and process all vendor contracts, PO’s, invoices, meeting logistics, travel/accommodations, shipments/deliveries, and mailings.
  • Track, manage, and maintain: Donor database (Salesforce), attendance at events, in-kind donations, sponsorship benefits.
  • Assist with planning, communications, and execution of fundraising events.
  • Manage communications of donor acknowledgement letters, including tributes/memorials, general donations, event sponsorships, IRS tax receipt letters, volunteer recognition in a timely manner.
  • Assist in updating external collateral and obtaining tax exempt and certificate of insurance applications.
  • Other administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

The Fundraising & Development Coordinator must be focused, detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to work well independently and collaboratively; possess a high level of verbal and written communication skills, have a deep understanding of empathy, and honor confidentiality to support the fulfillment of the organization’s overall goals.

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 2+ years of experience with non-profit and donor relations preferred.
  • Experience with Salesforce is preferred, but not required. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills.
  • High level attention to detail and organization skills.
  • Robust administrative and technology skills.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and prioritize.
  • Outgoing and engaging personality with confidence to interact with key stakeholders including individual and corporate donors, patients, board members, employees, and vendors.
  • Experience planning and managing small events.
  • Possess cultural agility skills necessary to work effectively with diverse people of all ages and backgrounds.
  • A self-starter; proactively takes initiative and solutions oriented.
  • Ability to think critically on both individual and team projects.
  • Ability to travel and available to work occasional evening events or 4-6 weekend events per year.

Work Environment & Considerations
