We are seeking a highly engaged Recruiter to help us deliver consultative, full life-cycle recruiting services to our sponsor facing and research teams.

 

As a Technical Recruiter...

 

  • Your primary responsibility will be to work with APL 's hiring teams and candidates through the entire search life-cycle. You will craft and implement creative recruiting strategies to source top technical talent and represent APL as an employer of choice. You will effectively influence candidates and hiring teams, negotiating and extending offers all while guaranteeing adherence with applicable policies, practices and statutes.
  • You will partner with your customers to acquire knowledge of their mission areas, staffing requirements, and culture. You will serve as an advisor to managers, senior staff and partners through regular communication, coaching and the presentation of staffing metrics individually and at the team level.
  • You will develop and deliver staffing summaries for various management audiences. You will utilize knowledge of HR data sources and strong computer skills including Excel and Powerpoint, to capture, prepare, and analyze data and information for various staffing reports and summaries. Finally, you will prepare and deliver effective, relevant communications in writing as well as through presentations to audiences of all levels.
  • You will work collaboratively across Talent Services and other partner organizations to ensure the delivery of effective talent strategies. You will meet with Recruiting and Talent Service Business Partners regularly to discuss operational issues, talent strategies, hiring challenges and organizational objectives.
  • You will have the opportunity to work on special projects across the team and the Laboratory, as needed.

Qualifications

You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you...

 

  • BS or BA degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field, or have equivalent level of experience
  • 3+ years of recruiting experience, preferably focused on engineering, cyber, and/or information sciences, supporting positions that require security clearances.
  • Can form effective working relationships with and advise managers about staffing matters including HR and Recruiting methodologies, OFCCP compliance, and employment law.
  • Are able to develop candidate pipelines and in-depth knowledge of sourcing and research skills
  • Possess the ability to handle multiple and changing priorities and can function effectively in a process-intensive environment.
  • Have previous experience with Applicant Tracking Systems, preferably iCIMS, including data mining and reporting.
  • Are willing and able to travel occasionally to support job fairs, conferences and support occasional extended hours.
  • Are able to obtain a Secret level security clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.
  • Can demonstrate that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
