Position Summary:
 
The Department of Neurobiology and Behavior (NBB) is made up of a community of faculty, students, postdoctoral fellows and staff who share a common goal: creating an exciting intellectual environment that optimizes our research and teaching missions. Applies skills as a graduate student admissions professional. Provides substantive information on graduate student programs for the organization or department. Evaluates and makes determinations regarding applications for admission using established guidelines. Provides student affairs support for the department including schedule of classes, TA and GSR appointments and degree completion advising. Coordinates department seminars and responsible for reimbursements.

$25.57 - $45.02 (hourly)

Required:
 
1-3 years of experience and/or education.
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Working knowledge of UC, and the ability to interpret policies and procedures to prospective applicants and the public. Working knowledge of admissions requirements for campus / school / college. Ability to maintain cooperative relationships with schools, universities, community organizations and other institutions. Knowledge and experience working with a diverse student population.
 
Preferred:
 
Knowledge of various UC financial systems. Working knowledge of academic programs, including curricula, admissions requirements, and financial aid programs at UC.
