We seek a candidate whose research and teaching focus on areas that may be defined as Communication and Well-Being. The successful candidate will contribute to one or more of the Departmental emphasis areas of interpersonal communication, mediated communication, organizational and community communication, rhetoric, public communication, and film studies.
Competitive applicants will also demonstrate an ability to provide strategic direction and collaboration with our Center for Communication Research, as well as success in working with interdisciplinary research teams, mentoring undergraduate and graduate students, and engaging regional, state, and national funding agencies.
Duties will include establishing and maintaining an active and independent research program, developing courses and teaching effectively at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and providing service to the Department, University, and discipline.
